How I choose

How a piece earns a hanger

  1. Fabric first — linen, silk, cotton, cupro, wool. If it pills in my hand, it stays.
  2. Construction — seams, linings, buttons, zips, and how the hem was finished.
  3. Condition in daylight — flaws photographed, never cropped out.
  4. Measured flat, because sizes lie across decades and countries.
  5. The honest question: would I lend this to a friend?

If it fails a line, it goes back on the rack. "Vintage charm" is not a condition grade.
